Sorry I haven't posted about it but yes I have my plane tickets and I thinlk I am renting a car--will be staying with my Mom who lives about 8 miles from the venue but it is Boston traffic. I may take a cab there-- I am getting excited for the show and also to see my family--my mom is 92 and not in the best of health- Have not been back to see her since last August.
Thanks for thinking about me Sue. Bye the way I am meeting a group od Castrocopians for a late Lunch near thne venue--my sister cannot make it so I was able to sell her ticket as the show is sold out.

May 16, 2010 MJ's Blog Jason Castro – Cafe 939 – Boston – 5/14/10 – VIDEO May 16th, 2010 | Author: mj mjsbigblog.com/jason-castro-cafe-939-boston-51410-video.htmSo yeah, my night out to see Jason Castro in concert Saturday night didn’t exactly turn out the way I planned. Jason made his second trip to Cafe 939–a wonderful little performance space run by Berklee School of music students. His first trip to the Cafe in January, he performed an acoustic set as the opening act for Matt Hires on what I swear was the coldest night of winter. I made my way to the venue in the ice and bitter cold, and it was worth it. Jason didn’t disappoint–he was dynamic, connected performer on stage. Video after the JUMP… This time around, Jason was the headliner, and he brought a band with him. I’m happy to report, Jason doesn’t lose the ability to connect when fronting a band. The set was an entertaining mixture of cover covers and songs from his new self-titled album. It helped that Jason recorded a strong set of songs for the new record. My favorites were the sweetly haunting, “It Matters To Me”, the heartbreaking “You Can Always Go Home,” and the mid-tempo “Closer.” And hooray that Jason performed all three songs! He also sang his new single “That’s What I’m Here For” and the jaunty first single, ‘Let’s Just Fall in Love.” Those of you who follow me on twitter already know what happened to me during the concert. It was standing room only at Cafe 939. I hate crowds and typically stand off to the side or in the back in open club situation. But, since I was videoing the concert, I tried to get as far up front as possible. It was hot, I was dehydrated and hungry, and well…about 2/3rds of the way through Jason’s set I got dizzy and fainted. Yeah, embarrassing. I tried to make my way out of the room when I didn’t feel right, but didn’t make it. The security guards had to rescue me off the floor. Oh it was quite the scene. I listened to the rest of the concert–including “Closer” and Jason’s encore–Tom Petty’s “Learning to Fly”–via piped in sound in the adjacent lounge. That wasn’t the only weird incident. Right at the start of my favorite song, “It Matters To Me”, some dumb drunk bitch and her stupid drunk friend came barreling into the crowd, pushing their way past people who had been standing since the opening act. It was pretty annoying, but then when one of them started screaming “I Love You Jason!” in the middle of the song, I wanted to punch her. Security came to take them out, and she started arguing with them. “My brother-in-law is a cop,” she warned. ERGH. They were right behind me when they were arguing–you can hear the entire altercation in my video. That happened a couple of songs before I fainted. What an exciting night! Jason’s little brother Michael opened the show. He doesn’t sound anything like his brother. Interestingly, he reminded me a lot of Alex Lambert. It would have been one or the other making the show, but not both, for sure. I recorded one of his songs. He writes his own stuff, and he wasn’t half bad. Pretty funny kid too. After the excitement died down, I got the chance to meet Jason for a few minutes after the show. He had no idea I fainted, which was really for the best… By the way, Jason told the crowd we were his favorite show so far. Ha! Boston RULES. I managed to get 7 of Jason’s performances on video. Enjoy them below

Hey Everyone!!! I stopped by to share my experience from Saturday RECAP:I got to the venue around 6:45. I got inside and I met Janelle in the lounge. I ran into the other ladies, Mariana, Carole, Creda, Cathy, Reenie, Sandy, Carol, Sue. It was great seeing the ones I always see and meeting more! Because Janelle reserves the couch they let her, her friend Paula and I at the front of the line. So when we got in there I got my spot in the front row, same exact spot as last time There was this guy next to me with his daughters and he recognized me from January and I recognized him too. He says "dude you're the tattoo girl!" and next thing I know I have all these teen girls "omg you have a tattoo for Jason omg let me see omg" so I had to show it and I had a ton of people looking at it lol. Michael was first, and I thought he was really great. He was really funny too lol!! He sang a new song that didn't even have a name yet. It was beautiful and I bet it was about Mackenzie Camera Can't Lie was next. The lead singer Eric is really cute, and I loved them! One song however I almost lost it! Eric said "this next song is dedicated to all the soldiers overseas. We all know someone over there or knows someone who knows someone who does, and this song is for them until they all come home!". It hit me so hard and I was trying so hard not to cry!! After their set Eric went by and gave high fives to everyone that he could reach! Finally JASON! Amazing as always but better. He just gets better and better every time I see him!! Incredible show!! After Hallelujah, he said that was it for the night, he thanked us for coming, told us to visit the merch table where he'd be hanging out, said goodnight and blew us a kiss. He and the band went backstage, the crowd cheered & cheered not stopping until minutes later Jason comes running back out with the band behind him and said he wasn't one for encores really but we were a great crowd so he'll do one more, and he did Learning to Fly After the show we went out to the lounge and got in line to go see Jason and Michael. Eric from Camera Can't Lie came over and sweet talked us into buying their CD lol, good thing I loved their music. I took a picture with Eric too, he's really cute and sweet. Finally got up to Jason! He said "heyyy" and gave me that "i know you!" look!! I asked him to sign my CD and he did, and then we got together for the picture. We put our arms around each other's backs and he started to yawn just as Janelle takes the picture lol. He talks through the yawn "uh-oh, hanggg on a sec! Ahh ok let's try that again shall we?" and we took a second pic. I didn't mind standing there with my arm around him while he finished yawning, haha! I thanked him and he thanked me for coming, and then I moved on to Michael. I always want to talk to Jason more but never know what to say or talk about. So I went to Michael and asked for a picture with him and he took one with me. Then I bought his tshirt, Jason's tour tshirt, and Jason's hoodie. So then I was just hanging out in the lounge with the other Dreadheads, and going through our pictures. I accidentally deleted my picture with Michael!! So Chrissy got back in line with me so she could take the pic for me, and I told Michael what I did and he was like "well why did you do that?". I said it was an accident and he laughed. So we took another picture and he says "now don't delete that one" lol. I saw Stephen passing through the lounge eating a sadnwich. I asked if he'd mind taking a picture with me and he said "sure, if you don't mind that' im stuffing my face" lol. Then I saw out the window that the rest of the guys, Ben, Jason D, and Jordan were outside so I went out there and asked if they'd mind taking a picture with me. They all said yeah and the guys got together. I went and stood near Ben, because of all the guys in the band I think he's the cutest lol! and he was like "woohoo she chose my side guys, haha!" LOL Little by little people started to leave. I was looking out the window watching for my dad to arrive, and Jason knocked over one of the metal display things holding Camera Can't Lie's tshirts. It landed inches away from me, the corner of it hit my foot and he says "Im so sorry, I almost hurt you! That'd make me sad" lol. Eventually I was the very last person there! I was alone in the lounge, watching Michael pack up the merch table. Then Jason and the band guys came out and Jason says "hey you're still here! waiting for a ride?". I said I was and I told him my dad had just texted me saying he'd be another 20 minutes. He said "awww... hey would you wanna hold the door for us while we load the van? We keep getting locked out". I said "sure!!" and I held the door for them. Then it was perfect timing! Jason came by and was like "this is the last box I think" and I said "Ok my dad just texted that he's here so i'll walk out with you" and he said "ok cool". So we walk out and my brother is in the window and he gives me this look like "omg she just walked out with Jason Castro" lol. I went over to the car and asked Jordan if he wanted to meet Jason and he did so we went over to the van where Jason was loading the trailer and introduced them and took a picture. Then I said goodnight to Jason, and he said "goodnight, see you next time" PICTURES:Facebook: www.facebook.com/Jason4EverMyIdol?ref=profile#!/album.php?aid=2037924&id=1309748253&ref=mf Photobucket: s337.photobucket.com/albums/n380/Proud2bDH2451/Jason%20Castro%20Boston%20May%2015th%202010/Myspace: viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=31878087&albumId=3220230VIDEOS:This Heart of Mine: Changing Colors: Hallelujah (unplugged): Learning to Fly (encore!):
