Now that I live in Texas I was in attendance at the event last night at the Fairview Mall, The Kaleidoscope of Dreams starring Jason Castro. He had a free concert hosted by a local Christian radio station in the North Texas area KTLY. I of course took pictures and videos to share. The videos are uploading and processing now.
The pictures and videos looked great while playing it back in my camera but once I uploaded them in my computer the resolution was not good at all. For that I apologize. I have come to a conclusion that my camera really sucks. If the lighting is not perfect, then the pictures and videos just come out grainy. I am sorry.
I also skipped some songs to give me an opportunity to take pictures of him. He sang I think 11 songs from the Who I Am album except Changing Colors and This Heart of Mine. He substituted White Christmas and Silent Night and added SOTR. I uploaded the videos in the order I thought they were played. I could be wrong ha ha Cindy got the set list. Cindy may need to correct me on this.
I have not viewed all the videos individually since I am trying to edit them in a hurry to post them here. Again...I'm sorry for the quality. My camera sucks. I am going to get me a new one eventually but right now I am stuck with this. Sorry again.
Others that were there: Cakind, Elglisa, Crazydo......On the Jason home front, Mikey and Mackenzie, Mandy, Camille, Betsi, and Rene. Did not see Jackie. She must be busy.
Here goes nothing...

That's What I'm Here for was the first song...
It Matters to Me
If I Were You
And of course there were bigg people in front of me. I mean they were tall so I have to sorta find a spot in between them and zoom my camera. If I zoomed away all their heads will be in my video LOL

White Christmas which he and the band botched a bit cuz they did not back him up LOL...I think it is simply lack of practice. But he is still sooo adorable on stage I really don't care LOL...
Wait (For a Miracle) - I am really liking this song but I messed up and did not catch the first part of it. I was busy trying to fumble around with the camera and making sure Becky is fed LOL
What If I Fall
Who I Am
You Are
Silent Night

Now the pictures...*sigh* It might take me a little while to edit them but I am coming back with it. In the meantime, here's a quick story about my conversation with Jason at the meet and greet:
Jason: Hey I am happy to see you...(ha ha I knew he couldn't remember my name this time LOL) Me: I moved here in Texas now. Jason: Really? You moved here from California. Me: No I lived in Reno Nevada but I did see you a lot in California Jason: Oh ok..so Welcome to Texas Me: Well Tenk ya (I tried the twang but it didn't work with my Filipino accent)

Also I noticed some buzzing sound on the videos. Of course I was standing in front of these huge speakers. I never noticed the buzzing during the performance but now they are on my video. Maybe it is my sucky camera. *sigh*

Then of course my attempt at Pantz... Blurry face but clear pantz Then there is this weird Mad Jason photo..I dunno how I got it just clicking away... So at the meet and greet, this punk asked if I had a camera so he could take a picture of Jason and me. Well so I gave him my camera. He took the picture without putting on the flash so I had this huge streak of light in front of my face besides me and Jason, of course, looked all grainy like ricecakes. So I cropped my fugly face and just took the Megawatt smile of Jason. There it is....the story of my first Jason show as a Texan..Go 49ers...Go Giants (sorry I can't help it)

I may have to fork out some dough but one day I will.

Thanks so much Winnie. I feel like I was there. Your camera seems fine to me and I doubt your face could ever be 'fugly'.

Thanks so much Winnie. I feel like I was there. Your camera seems fine to me and I doubt your face could ever be 'fugly'. Thanks Catherine. I showed it to Kelly and he, the expert that he is said this... 1. yep better lighting = better pics and vids in any camera. Poor lighting will result in grainy pictures. 2. Zoom past a certain level = gainy pics and vids. If you took videos and pics without zooming it, it would turn out clearer and better resolution. 3. good to take pic and vids with the least or no zoom. The moral of the story...stand closer to Jason So I guess it isn't the camera. It is the user.

Winnie, the pictures and videos are great - I really appreciate you doing this for us. I know that when you are behind the camera you personally miss out on some of the thrill of the performance. I used to video all the routines for Julie's skating club, and I kinda hated not being able to just watch Julie when she competed. Couldn't do the mama thing and oooh and aaaah and cheer.
And what a thrill that Jason recognized you and remembered you from Cali concerts. I laughed at the thought of you trying to talk Texan with your accent! You'll pick up some accents and jargon, though. And I bet it won't be long before the boys sound like true Texans!

Winnie - 1st DON'T be sorry! Silly goose, "sorry i took time to take pictures for you" "sorry i took time to shoot videos for you" "sorry i rushed home to share them all", no no no sorry. Thank you for sharing with us. I'm glad Jason remembered you from California. Kelly is right there is optical zoom and digital zoom, you probably have 3x optical and you really don't want to go futhur than that or you will get grain. however you zoom in to the 3 and later in photoshop or whatever you can zoom and crop and not get as much grain. The lighting is very important and always the tricky part. They are offering a class down the street from me I wanna take. I have a big flash now but during shows I'm learning to use no flash and they are coming out better. (at least the indoor ones) I think personally you do a great job and thank you again.

Hey Winnie how have you been? Happy to hear that you are in texas now to. Your going to really like it here. People are so friendly and there is so much to do. My oldest daughter was at the concert last night with several of her girlfriends and had a blast. I'm sorry i didn't know that you were here, I would have told her to look for you. My other daughter is in a play this weekend and last night was the opening night, and she is singing a solo, so there was no way i was going to miss that.
When she get's home from work tonight I'll see if she took her camera with her last night,if she did I will download the pictures to share with all of you. I know that she talked to him because he signed a CD for her. I saw him about two weeks ago at a charity banquet and he signed one for me!
Glad that you had fun,and thanks for sharing your pictures , they turned out just fine.
