"I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody." - Bill Cosby (and my favorite quote.)
You run the site, kali. You can do what you want! It's not like we're over run with Jason news anymore!
I had fun at the livestream. He's such a sweet kid and he has a great voice. I don't think I've ever heard him hit a bad note. His voice really is smooth and sexy as heck. Those vocal nuances in some of those songs....GAH (I'm quoting kali there.) He's extremely appreciative, humble, spiritual (which doesn't necessarily mean only religious), talented. I like him a lot. Some of his songs run through my head (like Go There right now!) and I like that I can actually recognize them when he starts playing the opening chords. That's what you want a song to be--recognizable and catchy! I think I like Sugar best, although I also like some of the MySpace songs.

The Ustream was SO much fun, Samuel was amazing. I love his answers, and his facial expressions, and the noises he makes lol. Poor baby stubbed his toes. The whole thing was great, i'm looking forward to the monthly ones

The Hallelujah and Jason talk made me smile..."just because we both don't like to brush our hair" I appreciate that he doesn't want to do Hallelujah. I wish TUrbin had the same consideration. I know it's NOT Jason's song..but it's respectful of him to understand how we all feel about it. Catwhisperer make sure the GG's come to the next stream...they might enjoy a little Samuel lol okay maybe a lot of a lil Samuel...Goth Daddy wouldn't mind I'm sure

I'm sorry I missed the live steam last night. I almost made it, but then fell asleep.
I've been checking out his vids on youtube and listened to his songs on myspace. You know what...I admit that I wasn't expecting anything much, but I was pleasantly surprised. His songs are good and he definitely has got something. Talented guy.
And I know this is Jason's fansite, and Jason will always be #1 in my heart, but I don't think there's anything wrong with posting about other musicians. I don't think I know anyone who just listens to one artist anyway. That would be pretty boring!
Anyway, thanks Kali, for making me check out Samuel's music. I haven't bought his EP yet, but I think I will.
p.s. Kali, I've been having fun following your tweets. You are quite smitten, aren't you!

Yeah...its been since early Jason since I've felt this way about a musician...I'm loyal to all my guys and its rare that I click with one...usually they have a certain passion for their music that translates and a aura of good if that makes sense...its just a way their voice touches me. Once I got into checking Samuel out in depth I discovered just how talented and rounded he is. His EP is 100% him! He's his own band if you hear it he did it and that amazes me. He has a rare sensual quality in his appeal but he comes across as unaware and its refreshing

I knew if zi moved this thread it would die....shame I have enough in my heart to love more than one and really wanted to share.... oh well. Kali...I just found this thread for Samuel because I noticed you had recently posted on it! Could we stick him up in the park blocks where he'd be more visable or near the attic? I know we focus mostly on Jason, but I like getting to know some of these new artist's as well...and...well...Samuel is a bit special, isn't he! And the dreadhead's certainly have enough love to go around, I would think... Do you have the recording of the ustream around here? I missed it LIVE and would like to see it and hear more of his songs... Is the Glee voting still going on? I also like keeping up with Alex Lambert and it makes it convenient to do it all on the same forum, since so many of us were impressed with these two young men...

Yey!!! I'm glad you brought it back to the front page, Kali! It will be fun keeping up with Samuel as well as Alex Lambert in the coming months...They are both so young and talented. It will be interesting to see how their futures unfold...and there are quite a few dreahead's here that really like both of them!

I just finished watching the ustream...well...most of it! My DH came home in the middle and so I had to look like I was really working hard! HaHa! I got real busy sorting clothes and doing the L word and then he had to run another errand to go pick up brickets for the BBQ so I got to watch the last 15 minutes and hear the last song! Samuel is a real cutie patootie and very talented! This was a wonderful way to get to experience a little more of his personality and see how he interacted with everyone...Very cute and very loving and appreciative...bless his lil heart! I hope his voice got a much needed rest for the next performance he had to do!

that would be tonight JB...here's hoping for vids its an elec show...which I love. What did you think about the response to the Hallelujah question...poor kid is just trying to NOT be compared to Jason and people just won't let it drop. Personally the only similarity I see is the dreads and heart. They are both strong in their faith and that is very attractive to me. I love an idividual with conviction.
Many of ya'll don't think of me as Christian because of my stance that a fan-forum is not the place to discuss it. Simply put fans come of diffferent races, ages and religious persuasions and well I believe everyone should be comfortable...you know the old adage "never discuss religion or politics with friends" Both boys/men are wonderful but with Samuel as with Jason let's not get into his faith...it's personal to him and he can share it if/when he's comfortable.
