I think that DD said to me in Dallas that they are trying to get it as a bonus track, that it was going to be coming to us in someway.

Getty...I love that the Hallelujah unplugged you posted above also includes the Soundtrack Version that Jason did as well... down at the bottom of the page! Do we have the soundtrack version posted anywhere at TDH?

Do we have the soundtrack version posted anywhere at TDH? The soundtrack version?? I did not know that/do that. **runs to look.

Sorry I'm late and this is so long. Thanks for reading if you dare:
My daughter and I drove to Clearwater early in the day on Saturday. We had a room reserved, but it looked fleabag when we arrived so I refused to stay there. I told my daughter that we should go down by the venue to check out its location and whether there would be parking near the venue for later. When we were downtown, we saw Stephen Kanicka and some other young man coming out of the front door at the very moment we drove past. It was cool for me. I was telling my daughter, “there’s Jason’s guitarist”, but that announcement didn’t mean much to her. We looked around for parking and found nothing except some metered parking around the corner at City Hall. I dug out all of my quarters for later just in case. We circled around and, after getting a little lost, we found a nice motel for a decent price and checked in. My daughter works at Dairy Queen while she goes to school and she wanted to check out the local Dairy Queen. So after we got checked in and unpacked (and discovered my camera battery was dead, just like what happened when I went to Dallas last year, ugggh. I guess I’ll just be enjoying the show and not trying to take pictures this time), we went in search of Dairy Queen. We had an Orange Julius and a smoothie before we went in search of dinner. We found a Ruby Tuesday for dinner and enjoyed a nice meal before the show.
Then we drove to the venue and discovered they had valet parking. So instead of going the parking meter route, we utilized the valet parking. Easy peasy. I got to say hi to Jennifer, Same Cage, LC, FaithHopeJoy and others. Sorry if I forgot to mention you. Shortly after I arrived and got into the line and was busily chatting on the sidewalk, we were allowed entrance to the theatre. It was great! Very little waiting. I got right in line for merch because Michael Castro was over there running it and I wanted to meet him. I bought a ton of merch (trust me, I spent about $80- enjoyed every minute of it too!) and asked Michael to autograph his tshirt to me. What a cute shirt he had made. While he was signing, I told him that I love his EP and that my favorite song on it was “Free”. He was saying thanks and then said, “well then I’ll play it”. I said “cool” and got all excited. I really love that song. What a super nice guy he is. Kind of shy just one on one, but absolutely hilarious on stage.
I found my seat and we waited for Michael to come on. I don’t remember the specific order of songs he did, but know that he did Trouble, Home, Don’t Know Why, a song he said had no name, a song called What Do I Know and Free! It was cute because FaithHopeJoy was shouting for I’d Rather when he said he had one more song and Jennifer was shouting for Free. He said he’d “rather not” do I’d Rather, so he will do Free. Yay! I’m going because #1 he promised me and #2 he didn’t forget, ha! I thought he sounded wonderful. He was hilarious and cute. My daughter and I very much enjoyed his show. His mic stand was broken and kept slipping down and he was just so funny about having to hunch his body down on the stool to reach the microphone. He was really a natural with working the audience.
What was cool about this theatre (which seats about 475) is that it was full (sold out, baby!), but you didn’t feel cramped (like the seats at a lot of big venues). I was very comfortable also because our venue wasn’t the standing room only type. We all had assigned seating. I had 5th row center but at the end of that row. The view was amazing! Ladies in front of me yelling stuff out, but that’s all I care to say about (potentially drunk) rude people.
Michael tore down his keyboard and other equipment and we watched as Camera Can’t Lie got set up. They lead singer is very cute. He wore a fedora and red PANTZ!!!!!!!!. They played for a little while, not sure how long or just what songs. I remember they did do Days and Days and Not Everyone Leaves at a minimum. I liked those boys from Minneapolis, but they were SO LOUD! He said it was so humid in Florida, his sweat had sweat. Someone in the audience shouted “get used to it”. Haha.
So when they were finished, they had to break down their equipment and Jason’s band had to set up for the next set. I watched Jordan Critz tune all the guitars and, of course, the uke. I watched him amazed at his musical talents. I started to get antsy at this point because I knew as soon as they were done Jason would come out and it would start.
Jason finally came on and he was wearing dark blue jeans, sneakers and an orange tshirt with a v-neck. So cute. He looked great to me. Really great! Did I mention beautiful? About being sick, he seems a lot better to me. He didn’t cough too much and his voice sounded great. I wish the band wasn’t so loud sometimes so his voice could be more front and center, but my daughter says that’s to be expected with full bands, sometimes the singer is drown out unintentionally. I wrote down the set list in case anyone is interested (these are in order):
Heart of Stone
All Wrapped Up
Let’s Just Fall in Love Again
It Matters to Me (which he dedicated to the fans, squeeeeee!)
If I Were You
Over the Rainbow
You Can Always Come Home (with Amy Davis)
That’s What I’m Here For
This Heart of Mine
Love Uncompromised
Sweet Medicine
Changing Colors
Closer
Hallelujah (unplugged)
He didn’t play his guitar much during It Matters to Me. He did a lot of arm movements, mic holding and emoting in this one. Phenomenal.
They did a beautiful harmony beginning on Love Uncompromised without instruments. Gorgeous. This band is so tight.
He again stated that he wanted to record Changing Colors in New York for us. Pardon me again while I squeeeeeeee!
He went from one side of the stage to the other so everyone could see him while playing unplugged Hallelujah. The audience did as he asked and cooperated (well mostly, ahem drunk ladies). At the conclusion, most everyone in the audience immediately gave him a standing ovation. It was a very emotional moment for me.
The theatre staff asked the man next to me not to video so I guess that was a no no. They apparently weren’t too strict because I know videos do exist, yay! I saw professional photographers as well, so there will be great pictures surfacing I’m sure.
He also asked for donations for Malaria No More. I love him so much, gah!
When we was done we jumped up to get into line for the merch (assuming that’s where he’d do signing). Apparently not. They set him up outside the front door and asked us to line up down the aisle of the theatre. It was a very very long line. Fortunately, I ended up closer to the front than I had been before. Watching Jordan alternate between signing autographs and take pictures with fans while trying to tear down at the same time. It was nice to chat and look at LC’s and Faith’s pictures while in the autograph line.
Finally, I made it to Jason. It was a very short wait. That’s because they had a several security persons hustling people through the line quickly. I tripped all over my tongue trying to talk to him and I’m sure I wasn’t very coherent while I was talking to him because I was so rushed. I sure don’t remember all of what was said, but it wasn’t more than a few words because it was quick. He signed the CD I bought, he signed my Playbill from the show and posed for a picture (I love the feel of dreads under your hand when you put your arm around him for pictures) which my daughter snapped of us. It’s not the greatest because an iPhone camera doesn’t have a flash, but I still liked the shot of us. He is looking beautiful as usual. He thanked me and I thanked him and we went and got our car from the valet and left.
I had the most amazing time. Everything went so perfectly. I didn’t wind down for at least an hour after the show, smiling in my motel bed. : )

Well, no one told me video taping wasn't allowed! And I wasn't hiding my little Flip camera either. That's really weird.

can someone tell me how many people they think were at jason's concert in florida? I haven't seen him play at a venue with seating before. How many people does this venue hold...................just curious. Thanks. I hope it was a good turnout.
OOPs I just saw the venue was sold out. That's awsome. (still curious as to how many the venue holds)

mickey, Sue wrote that the venue held 475 and it was sold out. Great recap, Sue! Sounds like a fun show. Hope Jason finds time to come back through Columbus with the band. I've only seen him acoustic and would like to hear a full band show.
