Hey guys...since I heard street teaming I hope you don't mind me popping in here. I'm the NYC Metro area street team leader, so I'm pretty sure this gig falls under our domain! Yes! Our first!
Unfortunately I can't tell you specifics as yet but rest assured they are on the way, but I do know that we will be needing street teamers probably to street team both the day of the show and prior to the show (if anybody lives in the White Plains area).
If anybody is interested feel free to PM me here or just leave a comment here. As soon as I get the deets for this show, I'll get back to y'all.
Thanks!

Hi there! I"m coming from the Northwest corner of Connecticut. Probably not close to you just1, but hopefully we can meet up and street team when we get there.
I know there are several 'Copians who are planning on coming also, so it should be a fun afternoon!
There was a post at 'Copia that all shows start at 6:00 except for the Saturday shows, but I thought I saw the White Plains show started at 4:00. That would make more sense on a Sunday. Bettter for me, because I'm not a late night person!
OK...now the most important question: What are you wearing?!!

I just went to JCM to try to order a T-shirt and I don't see where there are any available now. All I see in the store is the pre-order packages. Am I dense and missing something? Now I'm really confused as to what I'm wearing!

I think you can only get the shirts w/ the package or at a show. Maybe mistaken?

keirstin, you could get creative , and make a shirt! you could get some of that iron on paper for the printer, and make a decal. It works pretty well, you just have to use at least 80% cotton shirt for it to stick good.
I was planning on wearing my dreadheads tee from DDB. Or are we supposed to be wearing an official JCM tee to do street teaming?

It's awesome that so many people are coming to the show!
I know most of you don't necessarily live near White Plains, but if any of you are available and committed to being able to street team PRIOR to the day of the event, please let me know. Thanks.
I'll definitely get back to you on letting you know the deets for the same day street teaming.

Or are we supposed to be wearing an official JCM tee to do street teaming? You are not supposed to wear anything that says "Dreadhead" to Street Team in, as per the Atlantic guidelines here: www.jcsthq.com/guidelines.html (It's fine for when you're just being a fan, though!) I understand that the Atlantic people are very concerned that the Street Team should present a united front when officially representing them (which is what we are doing, really), so no special logos. But you also don't need to be wearing an official tee to Street Team, or anything that says "Jason Castro." I have an official tee, but the sleeves are too short for me to wear in public (that's a religious thing) so I will just wear a black top and a denim skirt. And comfy footwear!

You can't wear anything that says Castrocopia or Goth Girls for street teaming, either. Just didn't want anyone to feel like they were being singled out.
Atlantic is going all out to promote this tour so if you're interested in and able to help, you can drop a message on the US Street teaming board on the Castro Cafe or send a myspace message to one of the street team pages. They're in Jason's Top MySpace friends, so . . . easy to find!

OK, i'll wear my official JCM shirt. Its funny, i never thought of all the fan groups as being exclusive!
I can bring my dreadhead shirt for jason to sign, though?
I've only been in touch with Raya. I'll check in with the national leader. Good idea!

Raya's one of state leaders in New York, so contacting her will def get you the info to help out, Just1. I had just wanted to pass on the different areas you can go to let it be known when you're available.
I don't think the fan groups are exclusive -- I think everyone has found where they're most comfortable and a group they like to hang around with, and it's awesome that Jason has enough fans to keep so many independent sites up and running.
The street team's mission to promote Jason and his work, so we're not members of independent communities when we're doing street team work. We're his street team and our jobs are to put the focus on him. That's the reason for the rule about not making it about us as individuals or separate groups.

Ok, THANKS! Of course its about Jason. No argument there! I will do things whatever way helps him out the most.
I just read the whole guidelines page, and it really makes sense!
And I just sent messages to the street team leaders for Northeast and National HQ.
