According to a post under the Atlanta Georgia Mall thread, you have to be pre-approved to take part in street teaming. You're such an enthusiastic group, it's a shame you were excluded for this exciting event. Sorry I missed this earlier. Enthusiasm is a very important factor for street teaming and pre-approval isn't required; that's not what singin was saying in the Atlanta thread. Hopefully we can get this cleared up. We started asking for volunteers to help with promoting these events on September 30. The information was posted in every venue the street team users to communicate with the teamers: MySpace, Facebook, the Castro Cafe, and emails sent to those who have given their contact information via the sign up form. Again, no one needs to check all those places to get the information they need; pick the one that works for you. The regional and state leaders had to get everything organized so that there would be adequate coverage both before the event and day of show -- and that was not an easy task given that the change in release date for the CD required that new materials be made. As I said earlier, the most important part of street teaming these events takes place in the days leading up to the show, not necessarily at the venue itself the day of the show. That's important too, though, but the team leaders should be able to know ahead of time who is available to help them so that they can plan accordingly. Everyone is welcome to help, we just ask that we be allowed to be prepared for the number of people who are going to be there so that it doesn't turn into a disorganized mess. Pre-approval doesn't enter in to it. Having adequate materials and assignments for the staff on hand is the issue. I hope that makes sense. We work very hard to get information out so that those who want to help get what they need in order to do so, and the notion that people are being excluded just isn't fair. If you want to help, please contact your state leaders. They'll do what they can to get something for you to do. If they've already got a ton of people, it's going to be harder to figure it all out if you wait til the last minute to volunteer. There are going to be a ton of events to promote in the future and no one wants to see anyone being left out if they're able to help so I'll say again -- pleasepleaseplease sign up at jcsthq.com if you haven't done so already. If you lose track of that link, we're in Jason's Top MySpace friends, and you can send a message there, too. Signing up doesn't obligate you to do anything and it's understood that not everyone will be able to work every event because we all have lives that can get in the way, but this will get you into the information loop. And the more team members we have the better we'll all be able to promote Jason. It takes a village, yo.

Thank you McLovin for clearing things up... I was under the understanding that www.jasoncastromusic.com is the site to go to for all things Jason, including street team work. Jason is also on Facebook and MySpace and these are other places to get info for street teaming. There also WAS an email sent from the NY street team leader to those who have reached out to her and are registered with www.streetpropoganda.comAll stops on the tour are being teamed. From the first page of this thread: Hey guys...since I heard street teaming I hope you don't mind me popping in here. I'm the NYC Metro area street team leader, so I'm pretty sure this gig falls under our domain! Yes! Our first! Unfortunately I can't tell you specifics as yet but rest assured they are on the way, but I do know that we will be needing street teamers probably to street team both the day of the show and prior to the show (if anybody lives in the White Plains area). If anybody is interested feel free to PM me here or just leave a comment here. As soon as I get the deets for this show, I'll get back to y'all. Thanks! In addition to posts like Raya's, emails were sent to all known street teamers. There was also a MySpace blog posted and bulletin sent out from HQ, information was sent out on Facebook, and a post asking for volunteers on the street team board at the Castro Cafe. cafe.jasoncastromusic.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=stpublicgeneralinfo&thread=3174&page=1#221510No one needs to check all of those places in order to get info -- it's posted multiple times in several areas to get to the most people possible, but if you pick which one works best for you, you'll always get the info you need. You should also make sure the area team leader has your contact info so that they can send info to you when events are coming up in your area. If they don't have your info already, the best way to get it to them is to fill out this form: jcsthq.com/The most important thing the street team needs to do for these shows is to promote and advertise it in the week or two beforehand so that people in the community are aware that it's upcoming and can make plans to be at the mall that day. In order to do that, we had to order the materials from Atlantic well in advance so that everything arrived in time. If you're going to be at the event and are interested in helping out, please send an email to one of these ladies below. I'll get in touch with them to let them know they may be hearing from a few more people. Hopefully we can work something out. Raya: jcst_nycnjmetro@yahoo.com or Kathy: jcst_newyork@yahoo.com

A shame really that the poster above felt the need to create a new acct to post that. Both of their accts have now been banned. Is it really necessary to inflame?

A shame really that the poster above felt the need to create a new acct to post that. Both of their accts have now been banned. Is it really necessary to inflame? Unnecessary and detrimental. A lot of people work really hard on all this so if anyone has something they want to say but don't want to post under their own name, maybe they should think twice about posting it before they undo the effort others are putting in to reaching out to people who want to help.

Srys ya'll the street works hard to supprt Jason. If you have a question or concerndont dither ask...if you serious don't know who pm me and I'll forward it. But to undercut the "goodwill" of the sites by being beastly well that is certainly NOT the dreadhead way. We are more passive-aggressive
