My dd and I went to the Jingleball last night and we were to the left of the stage, about 5 rows back. We both agreed that Jason sounded great. I couldn't hear people singing because I was right next to the speaker. i tried to sing, but I couldn't even hear myself. The girl behind me knew Jason was from Idol, and I told her he would probably sing "Hallelujah." When he was done, I heard her say, "That was amazing!" I think I also overheard her say she would probably buy his album. It was a dance type crowd. If the Ting-Tings had played, everybody would probably have been jumping to their music. The Fray was great. I really enjoyed the show and it would have been awesome if Jason could have stayed and filled in for the Ting-Tings. "All Wrapped Up" would have gone over well for that crowd. I saw Dave taking some pictures and I waved my hands, but I think I was just out of the shot. Oh well. I'm glad everyone had fun.

Yes, it was loud and wild in there! The canned music was WAY too loud. But I guess the kids liked it. My niece's comment about Jason was "doesn't he play anything fast?" But she was more interested in seeing The Fray. She thought Jason made too many funny faces when he sang. I told her she has to watch his video with me and then she'll "fall in love again!" I had asked David if there was a meet and greet and he told me yes, so I expected an autograph line. But when we were in the bar he told me the meet and greet was just for radio people and their invitees. Bummer. I'll have to make sure I clarify that next time. We got there about 5:00 and there were about 15 people in front of us - 2 guys with no coats! 3 of the people left after a short while because they were too cold. It got really bad when it started raining, but we were under an overhang. The line started growing right after we got there. I have no idea how long it was, I couldn't see the end. There was a lot of talking during Jason's set, you could hear a lot of buzz going on. I thought the venue did a poor job of announcing Jason. They mentioned he was coming out, then talked about "surprise" guests. When Jason walked out, I really was expecting a "surprise" guest. They didn't even shut the canned music off when he came out. No "Here's Jason Castro", no nothing. It was an underwhelming introduction. But it was basically the same for The Fray. I'm glad you got the video Hannah. Wvapeachez got some too and hopefully she'll post it here soon. I hope Jason got a lot of new fans. The gals I was with passed out some flyers she had in her purse and was chastized by the Ohio Street Team Leader. I thought it was a great idea. People who were there to see other groups were introduced to Jason and it was nice they had something with his web site info on it - plus that gorgeous picture. People seemed pleased to get it. I think this is the kind of venue where distributing information is really important - when people are there to see other artists and get their first introduction to Jason.

once again had a great time seeing jason and enjoyed meeting Sherry and seeing Miss Debbie again. Wish we could have met up with you Hanna and Lisa. I thought Jason sounded great last night. I just love his voice and can't wait for his cd. It was such a surprise when Jason walked into the bar where we had gone to get food. Only a hop skip and a jump from the line, but didn't have a clue he was going to be there. So, that was a nice added bonus.

Hello....looks like mickey and I got back into town just as the bad weather hit...Again it was wonderful to meet some more wonderful dreadheads...Sherry you were a blast..Rosequeen was right you are a power stander..lol...I thought it was so sweet, that between you and the little girls and the two coat less guys we were able to go in the bar next door in time to see Jason doing his radio interview.. .....and also was this your first time meeting dave?.... ....and wasn't miss Debbie a hoot.. ....can't say I wasn't a little taken aback when a street teamer leader had gotten upset cause, we handed out a few fliers that were obtained through street prop with no real instruction as where and when they should be handed out....actually these gals asked for them.. ....which i thought was sooo sweet...Jason sounded wonderful, looked great.. ...I do have video but for some reason I can't load it , so I will have to go to Mickeys to be able to post it...but all in all a good time..

Glad that everyone made it home safely. We got home about 1:00. We got there late because shawn couldn't leave at the time that we had planned.I pulled my girls out of school early and he called and told us to go ahead and go, but I felt that was really unfair to him(he's a big fan to - even though he won't admit it to anyone but me and some of our closest friends). W e got there about 7:50. It was so cold and raining. My youngest daughter's knee's were hurting her so bad(she has rheumatoid arthritis). When we got inside we looked for a place to sit, of course there was nowhere. Shawn asked someone that worked there if Skyler could have a chair to sit on because she was hurting from the cold damp weather. The guy couldn't find a chair. About five minutes later he came back and said that they had a table upstairs that we could sit at, it was being occupied by employees but that we could sit there. At first i thought they wouldn't be good seats but we really lucked out. it was toasty warm up there, people were not pushing it wasn't as loud and you could see the stage perfectly. When we got up there my daughter said that she was sorry that we had to be so far away from Jason(she felt so bad because she just needed to sit and rest ). She told me if I wanted to i could go down on the floor to be closer. She's such a good girl, alway's thinking about someone else other than herself. Made me feel so very proud of the young lady that she is becoming. I tried to find all of you in the crowd but from up there you really couln't tell who was who. We left shortly after Jason sang and stopped at Bob Evans in worthington we were all starving since none of us had dinner. Overall it was a very good night. My oldest daughter couldn't figure out why he keeps singing the same songs, so I had to explain to her that they were songs that were going to be on his cd when it comes out and that he was out promoting his new songs. (Teenager girls-what can i say). sounds like you all had a great time to and I'm thankful that you all made it home safely. Have a safe flight back to California Sherry- bet you don't miss our lovely Ohio weather. See you all over the next couple month's
