This is
choklitmonster's recap of her experience that I'm coping from another thread:
This probably doesn't really belong here but I am posting here anyway. Haven't had time until now to tell you about my day on Wednesday.
As some of you know Jason was at the Hard Rock Cafe in Louisville on Weds. It was a lunchtime show sponsored by The Max FM radio station. Unfortunately I was not one of the winners of the meet and greet.
Five for Fighting was also there. And some of the people actually came to seem them and not Jason. The Hard Rock in Lou. is not as big as some of the others (well I've only been to the one in St. Louis and it was bigger). Anyway Louisville or The Ville as we call it has more than their share of uptight, snooty, snobby people. And there were alot of them at the concert.
My daughter and a friend of ours got there early to try to get a decent seat. Of course the radio station winners got the best seats but that's okay cuz I don't think I ever sat down the whole time I was there. I was a little surprised though that I was the only one there with a Jason Castro Music t-shirt on. I'm a pretty quiet person and don;t usually just go up and start talking to people I don't know.....but that day I did.
I saw Jason when he first came in. He walked up to me and said " I like your shirt" and then flashed that awesome shirt. And surprisingly enough I answered back. "Yeah I like it too" and we both laughed. Then they had to go get ready for sound check.
During sound check I introduced myself to Dave and asked him if I could get a pic even though I didn't have a green band? He said he would make sure I did since I was a street teamer. Dave is a really nice guy and I told him we all appreciated all the pics and everything he does. I also met another big fan of Jason. Her name is Julee and we spent alot of time just talking and getting to know one another.
So Jason is up first. He sang 4 songs. It Matter to Me, Feliz Navidad, Let's Just Fall in Love Again and Hallelujah. Once Jason started singing the entire place got quiet. All eyes were on Jason and everyone really seemed to enjoy him. Both the men and the women. But when he started singing Hallelujah they were mezmerised. And I saw several men and women both wiping tears away. He was simply Amazing!
After Five for Fighting sang (and they were good...just not as good as Jason lol) everyone lined up for the meet and greet. My daughter and I had been standing back by the bar trying to get video and pics. The pics I took were too far away and the video from my camera is only 20 seconds at a time. I was not happy about that. My daughter got some video that we will try to figure out how to put on youtube. But anyway, a couple that was leaving because they had to get back to work gave us their wristbands for the meet and greet. I was so surprised. Then we started to try to find a wristband for Julee. While people were lined up for the meet and greet I was talking to alot of them telling them about jasoncastromusic.com and inviting them to check us out here. And just generally talking about Jason.
I got to meet Chuck who is with Jason also. Not sure what he does though. My daughter got in line for the meet and greet and at that point I decided to give Julee my wristband. She wanted to meet and get a picture with Jason as bad as my daughter and I did. After they got their pics I went up and Dave made sure I got a pic with Jason. It turned out horribly. Jason's part didn't but I looked horrible. Then my daughter came up and said don't be mad but the picture I took of you and Jason didn't come out. So Dave and Jason told me to come take another one. LOL
I even got to talk to Jason for a few minutes. He asked me what my name was on the boards. I told him my name on the boards and twitter was choklitmonster...he laughed and said he's seen that name on twitter. HaHa. Then they left to go to Cincy. I am sure I am leaving stuff out....but it really was a Great day. I am just so impressed with how gracious Jason is with everybody.
Since my pics sucked I suggest you go to
www.themaxfm.com and click on max pics. There are two albums there of pics that the radio station took. And yes unfortunately my ugly mug is in those pics as well.
Sorry so long but I just wanted to tell you how awesome Jason was. The guys even wanted their pics taken with Jason. Jason definitely made alot of new fans that day.
