I'm going with fellow dreadhead evernightt (gotta get her to post some). I'm meeting Elizabeth there. She's a teen dreadhead on here. I'm sure Singin72 is going. She's going to Charlotte too. I can't get off work early enough to make the start of the Charlotte show on Friday. I talked to someone at Local 506 and he did not know of a meet and greet. He said since Jason is going on second, he may come out after his set. He did come out briefly after his set at the Jacksonville, NC show on Dec 11th. I was one of the lucky few to get a pic and autograph then. Evernightt and I were able to give him the Tom Petty 4 disc set that he tweeted about! The Local 506 guy did not know of a radio station involved. I might call singin 72 because she seems to know about those things. The Chapel Hill Show starts a 9:00 and doors don't open until 8:30. It's an all ages show. I'll be there in line way before that so I can hopefully get up front so I can get good video.

Thanks for the welcome! First time posting on this site---I used to get on all the time but my computer at home has been down---ugghhh! We really wanted to go to the show in Charlotte, just because we are familiar with the Charlotte area, but I'm not complaining too much---I'm just excited to be going anywhere to see Jason! I am a huge fan (my husband has been very supportive of this ever since Jason stepped on that Idol stage) ----I am coming to the Local 506 with about 8 friends---but I am the only die-hard Jason fan. The rest of them are just going to be going---LOL. I would love to be able to at least get a picture with Jason. I went on the Idol tour with my husband in Charlotte and *almost* got a pic with him but it was a crazy mob there! I was able to touch his arm though *sigh*---and get some good up close pics----just not with me in them---LOL. I am so excited about this show. I am hoping to get there early, but we are going to be coming from Florence, SC and by the time we can leave, and then check into our hotel, etc., we're going to be pushing it to get there too early. Do you know if they will be serving alcohol at this venue being that it is an all-ages show? I have a couple of men going in the group that I think are counting on being able to drink some--LOL.

Oh also, do you know how long his set is supposed to be? How many songs did he get to sing at the previous show you went to? I am dying to hear "It's Alright With Me" among many others. I am hoping since he is an opening act that he won't have a super-short set!
I hope to see ya'll there! I'm always excited about meeting fellow Dreadheads! I miss getting on here since my computer at home has long been down. I used to get on the older Dreadhead site all the time---too much actually! It's probably a good thing my computer at home is down---LOL

I heard this tour is about 40 minutes, about 10 songs or so, so he probably will sing my personal favorite, It's Alright With Me...
Welcome to the home of the Dreadheads

"It's Alright With Me" is one of my very favorites too.. I love all his songs of course. Dawnf1102 I was lucky enough to have Jason dedicate that song to me in New Bern, NC on 09/16/09. I filmed it and put it on youtube so I can see it over and over. It came out kinda dark because of low lighting, but I'm grateful to have it on video! I'l treasure that always! When I told him that it is Rosequeen's favorite too, he said "Oh I know who Rosequeen is". I called Local 506 for you and they will be selling alcohol there. The last time I saw him on 12/11 he did 6 songs. That's What I'm Here For, Felix Navidad, It Matters to Me, Love Uncompromised, "Let's Just Fall in Love Again", and Hallelujah. Then he was the opening act. 10 songs would be great! There is going to be a $3.00 membership fee at the door. I'm taking cash in case they are not taking credit or debit cards for it. Plus it will get me in faster. I did will call because my computer was out of ink. I was told there is only one line to get your will call tickets and your membership. He said it would take about 20 seconds to fill out the membership card. I'm going to try to be one of the first in line. Too bad your friends can't let you off at the door and meet you there afer they get the motel stuff done. You could always hang out with my friend and I. I am going to pm you my cell number in case you want to call me. It's gonna be a blast! Oh, I called The Evening Muse in Charlotte and they're sold out. They said there might be a few tickets available at the door only. No tickets online or by phone. Hope to see ya there!!

Hi! That's so exciting to have Jason dedicate a song to you! = ) I would flip out (in a good way---haha) I am hoping they allow camcorders at Local 506---I'm pretty sure they do. I was reading on the Jacksonville thread from last night that in order to meet Jason, you had to pretty much miss Matt Hire's set. I'm really hoping that's not the case, because although I am not nearly as big a fan of Matt's (I mean this is Jason we are talking about LOL), I really don't want to miss any of his show, and I am a fan of Matt's music. I'm also really looking forward to Caitlin---I can't wait! I am hoping for just 1 pic of me and Jason together---and I would love to have him sign an EP for me. I promised my dad I would try to get him to sign one for him too (yes my dad is a huge fan as well but was out of town and can't make it to the show!). Fingers crossed! My husband is going (he's actually a pretty big Jason fan as well---I think he was forced to listen to him so much that it just kinda happened that way, and he actually ended up really liking his music). My husband jokingly (I hope)told me he is going to embarrass me by screaming out "Yeah!elebenty-one! Jason you rock! My wife loves you!elebenty-one" really loud and obnoxiously at some point, but I told him I would kill him if he did---haha. We should be checking into our hotel in Durham around 4:30 and get settled in and then I think it's about a 15-20 minute drive to Local 506. We're gonna grab a bite to eat somewhere around the bar, and then I want to head over there as early as possible!!! Do you know how early they are going to let people into the bar? I would like to try to get there by 8 at least-----what time are you planning on heading over that way?
I have heard that parking is a problem in the area of the bar. Are you familiar with the area to know any tips on where to park? I need all the help I can get since we're going to be rushing as it is! = ) I really hope to see you and your friend there---it's always exciting to meet other Dreadheads!
Oh also-----I called the bar about a week ago, bc I was worried you wouldn't be able to purchase a membership the night *of* (long story---but basically a couple of months ago we were in another town nearby and we couldn't get in to any bars because membership had to be purchased 24 hours in advance, and this was everywhere) but the guy I spoke to told me you could also get just a one-night membership for $1----this is what we are going to do, since we won't likely be in this area again in the next year.
I'm not surprised about the Charlotte show selling out---I'm really curious to know how many tickets have sold so far for our show?
Again, I hope to see you there! I know it is going to be an awesome show, I am so excited! 2 more days! Yeah! = )

Dawn, The doors open at 8:30 and you can't get your membership until you're going in. We're gonna try & get in line about 7:30 or so. When I went to the Cat's Cradle (Just up the street from Local 506) to see Green River Ordinance and NEEDTOBREATHE it took me 30 minutes to find a parking place that I would not be towed from. Just be sure to look for signs about towing. I'm going to put the bar's number in my cell in case I need to call them for anything. I think they recognize my voice by now. One guy said "I just talked to you the other day. Don't worry, you'll get to see Jason Castro. I know that's who you really wanna see" He cracked me up! When We get to Chapel Hill, I'll call you. I'm bringing you some dvds I made of the Hooligan's show in Jacksonville, NC on Dec 11th, the Folley Beach Show on 9/13/09, and the Diamond Club in New Bern, NC on 09/16/09.

Hey y'all! I got home at 4 am! It was so awesome! I got to meet dawnf1102! We got there at 7:10. It was cold. We were the first in line. My fellow dreadhead friend evernightt and I opened the door and went inside. Matt Hire was doing soundcheck so they sent us back outside. The guy Glenn asked me if I was the one calling on the phone several times this past week. I said yes. He asked if I brought my snuggie to wear for Matt Hires. When Matt walked outside a short time later, I stopped him and showed him my snuggie in my bag. He said I'll have to wear it to get the free signed poster he tweeted about. Matt was at a gas station recently and someone walked in wearing a snuggie. He said if someone wore one to his show he would give them a free signed poster (And I wore it for 2 of Matt's songs so I got my poster just before we left). He said I was the only one to do that so far. I figured what the heck! It was fun. People were laughing!
Anyway, we waited outside until just after nine. Jason and Mandy were late getting there and he had not done his soundcheck. I got right up front in the middle (well deserved after waiting 2 hrs outside in the cold). I went to get a Buuurp juice real quick and walked right up to Caitlin Crosby and told her how much I like her Flawz video. I asked for a pic of her and she said if you get in the picture with me. She had her friend take it ( she was in the Flawz video). Very sweet girl. Her set was awesome. She was real sweet and cute with her on stage banter. Adorable. Incredible voice. She handed me her set list. Bought her cd and hung out with her a little while at the end of the night. When Jason came on, the crowd went wild. He was so cheerful and happy looking. I was right in front of him. I told him I wanted his set list (got it). I have 2 of his set lists now! My friend Elizabeth got his water bottle. I gave evernightt his guitar pic he dropped on the floor since I had gotten the set list.
His set list: That's What I'm Here For , Love Uncompromised, Closer, It Matters To Me,If I Were You, You Can Always Come Home,"Let's Just Fall in Love Again", and Hallelujah.
Got Caitlin's and Jason's entire set on video. Got 2 of Matt's songs on video.
We went to Jason's merchandise table and got in line to get an ep signed and to get a pic. Jason hung around until he talked to everyone. Mandy was sitting down nearby and I went and introduced myself and told her I was a dreadhead. I told her how we all love her and how happy we are for them. She was very sweet and gracious. We gave her a card congratulating them. We got a couple of pics with her. We were one of the few people left in the bar and we got to talk to Jason and Mandy for close to 30 minutes. I gave him 2 Tom Petty dvds I had converted from VHS and Neil Young dvds I had converted. I asked him if he like Neil Young and he said he'd find out when he watched them. Mandy thanked me for sharing some music. Jason thanked us for the Tom Petty 4 disc set we had given him at Hooligan's and that he was bummed he had forgotten to bring it with him. And I said well you've got 2 more Tom Petty concerts now. Then I took a couple of pics of the happy couple and then someone took one of Jason, Mandy, Evernightt, and I. I told Mandy I would respect her privacy about posting them amd she smiled and told me to go right ahead that it would be fine. (of course I would only do that here if I get permission from Kali first). She is really so sweet and kind and beautiful! They are obviously so happy. Mandy told me she knew my friend's name was Allison(evernightt) and what was my name again. Jason spoke up and said "Her name is Sue". That was so cool for him to remember my name!
Then we walked to where Matt Hires was and got a pic and autograph. I told Matt that my snuggie was an extra one I had and it was new. And that I only wore it for those two songs. I said I wanted him to have it if he wanted it. He said yes he would love to have it. He said that soon he's going where it is colder and that he has talked about getting one. Then he and the bass player signed my poster I was promised. The guy Glenn told me I was the first person in and the last to leave. Then we said bye to Matt, Caitlan, Mandy, and Stephen Kanicka. Jason had went somewhere. So we headed out. Anyway we took a wrong turn and got lost in Chapel Hill. We drove around for at least 30 minutes and we were still lost. I have not gotten lost in forever! We were laughing about how late it was and being lost. We finally pulled into a convenient store and I got out and asked two police officers that were sitting in their cruiser to please help us by telling us how to get to I-40 East. That we had come from Wilmington to hear some bands play. The lady officer asked me who we had come so far to see. When I told her she told the other officer "Wow, Jason Castro was in town tonight". We were only 2 miles from I-40 and started out on our 2 hr 45 minute drive back. Got home at 4:00 am. Got settled and I could not sleep without giving my usual long, drawn out, detailed review. Sorry for rambling, I just can't help it. It was an amazing night! I will start the long process of posting videos when I wake up, hopefully in the afternoon. Goodnight!

I'm still waiting for "Hallelujah to upload on youtube. It's says it's processing. I had to move my bedroom computer to my living room so I can use the ethernet connection. Wireless is almost impossible to use for uploading to you tube in my house. I watched my videos today and it sounds like the audience was very respectful for the most part. For Caitlin also.
Y'al bear with me on the videos. It takes about 1 or 2 hrs for one video to finish. I don't know if HD has anything to do with it or not. But it is a slow process. And I got a late start on it.
