I have always loved Jason's song, So Fast. This song has a special place in my heart now because on December 20, 2009, my nephew (my brother's son) committed suicide, just 5 days before Christmas. My brother is the one that found him, and our family is just so heartbroken. His name was Jason and he left behind two very young children. We did play Jason's "Over the Rainbow" at the memorial service...brought us all to tears again. I am so sorry. Your post made me cry. Good luck to your whole family. My cousin committed suicide and it is so hard.

coocoo, It was weird, cause I hadn't been thinking I'd end up speaking to him, but the meet and greet literally was right in the door on the way out...and when he was right there, I knew exactly what I wanted to say to him, couldn't have told you what it was five minutes before.
I found him very approachable, I'm normally not too talkative in those kinds of situations, I tend to feel like I'm intruding on the person's time regardless of their attitude, but Jason? Like a dude you'd known for ages and just had to tell him something.

I saw the concert in Va. and I started to talk to him and he did not respond so I don't know if he did not hear me or he was distracted because he wanted to get people to watch Matt Hires or he was feeling bad physically. Whatever it was, I felt embarrassed and I also feel like I am intruding.

Yeah, I talked to him. I hadn't planned on doing so, but he was like literally right in front of the door as we were leaving. Matt was there too at that point, told him I enjoyed his set. Leaving the club actually was like going through a receiving line at a wedding. (Groom's Dad? Hi we've never met but it was a lovely ceremony....just waiting to make nice with the bride who is my cousin).

Thanks for the recaps and videos! It seems like these are perfect venues for upclose and personal concerts! I really hope it will be like this when I see Jason on Feb. 22! I'm so excited!

Further with the lack of rest and good food, you know, Betsy style, I believe it was the next day he had to cancel his radio show appearance and I read a quote of his somewhere to the effect that he was sorry, but that he felt "like death". When you were with him, it is likely he could barely stand and was giving it his all, which at that moment was managing to stand for a photo. Jason, from all reports I have read over the past two years, is uncommonly kind and loving. I just know that the next time you see him he will give you that love.

Lol, thanks rosequeen. I even was 'honest' with Jason, told him it was a joy to finally see him and that I wanted him to bring So Fast back into the list at some point, that it was really special and meaningful and was the song that made him stand out to me as more than just and Idol contestant. LANE!elebenty-one soooo good to see you back here! (OK, I think I used all my exclamation marks for the day). I wanted to read the whole three pages, but had to stop and comment on this one: So so true. Next time you'll see him, please tell him that there are bunch of us here who went a long way with him and think this very rough and stomach-shaking song should have a stool of its on, sort of speak. Well, at least until I'll be able to tell him that in person, but this may take a while Anyway, good to see you. Now I'll keep reading...
