They told me that there were fifty seats in the balcony and I counted 60 chairs set up downstairs. The balcony was sold out we had to beg to get one more. (We brought 13 down from the Seattle area.) I think there were about 90 people there. Not a paying venue for sure. There was room for lots more in sharp contrast to the small venue in Seattle which was packed. Here is a blurry view from the balcony before it began:

Frustrating business this. Does not seem like the promoters are doing their job.

Jason is doing what most good musicans do to make it in the real world, it's hard work but will pay off in the end. the fact he has so many bookings is fantastic and going overseas with a commerical that is putting money in his pocket each time it plays is all good. Now when he comes back and that CD is release I do want to see some TV included.

Funny! Suester, thanks for the morning smile/laugh. I needed it! Oh, and I can't believe he didn't remember you! Well, actually, I guess it was for the good. ... he might had ran amok, for all I can tell

here are a few more pictures. I've seen this kid before in pictures, but I can't remember where. I had a nice thought that maybe he wants to grow up to be like Jason and thought of more men growning up with Jason as a role model. It was a nice thought this is the BIGGEST flat Jason I ever saw! Yesterday D4Jason took us to the Rose Garden and then we had lunch. She is an amazing hostess, I would love to go back and spend more time with her!

Sorry I didn't get to meet any of you. We got there just before 2:00 and they had to bring more chairs so we were in the back. We couldn't believe how small the place was....soooo intimate. We loved it!! I was so impressed with Jason's performance knowing how tired he was. He was better than I expected. His dreads are getting so long, they got tangled in his guitar at one point. He wasn't as chatty as Caitlyn and Matt Hires, but he did seem confused about how early it was. After one song he said "good morning, or afternoon". Thanks whoever requested Wait, it's one of my favorites:) Me and my sister got teary during Haleluhea. She was a David Cook fan, and thought the judges were too hard on Jason. She asked him if he would do Idol again knowing knowing now how hard it was and he said "yeah I just remember what a blast it was." Matt Hires was so good, his voice and style reminded me of a young Rob Thomas.

I would have loved to have finally met you. I was standing by the left wall in back during Matt's Concert. Then toward the end I went and sat in that last row because my back bones were starting to all crunch together...OUCH! I should have made a sign with your name and Fanforever's on it so I could have tried to capture your attention and then met you both...of course, you may have STILL stayed incognito...just sayin' ESPECIALLY, if you ever believed any of the stories going around here about me... But don't believe a word of it! The reputation I seemed to have acquired on this forum is COMPLETELY exaggerated.... I am really very quiet and shy...in person.. Kisses from JBSuester

Portland was a blast! If you ever get there, stay with Donna! She's and her wonderful hubby are excellent and gracious hosts! Jason was so exhausted at this show. I felt bad for him. I liked the fact that it was so small and intimate. Mandy had said they didn't expect a big turn out because it was in the middle of the day, so I hope they weren't disappointed. Jason was so polite and patient with everyone and always answered with a happy "sure" when someone would ask for a picture or autograph. They both had said how much they appreciated the fans and wouldn't be doing what they are doing without the support. You can tell that they really mean it. Sue was a blast, as always. Wish we could have spent more time together. When we were waiting in line to get in, I saw Sue and went up to say Hi. I discovered that there were actually two lines - one for under 21 and one for over. So I yelled back at RQ and Donna "Hey, you're in the little kids line, come up here" That didn't go over well with the "little kids." When Jason was on stage he commented about the younger ones in the balcony and the older ones on the floor and kind of stumbled because he wasn't sure what to call us. I'm not sure if he said "older" but he struggled with what word to use. So I got what I deserved! When the show was over, the venue had everyone with drinks go to another part of the bar so the "under 21's" could come down and meet Jason. We hung around talking to Mandy (did I mention she's adorable and sweet and happy). When Jason was finished he came over and "accidently" bumped in to her. They hugged and they were so cute. Even after they left, we stayed around talking until management told us they had another show that night and hinted strongly that maybe we should move on. It was a great time!

that was funny Sherry - "this is the little kiddy line" lol, so yeap then Jason points at the seats on the floor and says "the old people" or something, then he got the cutest grin and said "just messin with ya'll" lol

Sherry & Rosequeen: Thanks for the kind words. You guys are so much fun. I haven't laughed that hard in years. You are both welcome to stay at MY HOUSE when you come back. I'm going to put my foot down next time.
