Hey all!! I'm sure this is going to be moved to shows that have already happened soon! I tried to place this thread there originally, but there isn't anywhere to start a thread there! So here it is!
Last night, Jason and Stephen performed at Que Pasa at the Marketplace in Bakersfield, CA. It was part of a promotion for KLLY 95.3fm. It was, as always whenever Jason is involved, AH-MAY-ZING! The place was a restaurant/bar that turned into a club after a certain time. Jason and Stephen performed on their patio, which only allowed those 21 and over to be on. All those younger than 21 had to stand outside, on the other side of the patio and stand there at watch. I think it was because to stand on the patio, you had to be “consuming” since there was no cover charge. Well my friend doesn’t drink and I had an hour and a half drive back home so we had to pay a cover fee since we were “consuming”. Lame, but totally worth whatever we had to pay! Anyways, Jason and Stephen showed up about 45 minutes before they were scheduled to go on, to do a soundcheck. Well since I was there an hour and a half before, we (including a few others who were there waiting) got to sit in on it! Here are the pictures from that:
Afterwards, they went inside the restaurant to eat. Around 9:15pm, they came back out to grace us with their magical voices and mad guitar skills! Hahahaha! It was packed!! Tons of people, inside the restaurant, out on the patio, and outside the patio where those under 21 had to stand. Luckily, yours truly made her way to the very front!! So there was no one blocking me from Jason! Sigh! GREAT NEWS THO! I’m definitely sure Jason picked up tons of new fans! Everyone there LOVED him!!! Here was the set list they performed:
1) That’s What I’m Here For
2) Love Uncompromised
3) This Heart of Mine (OMG STORY!!!)
4) Let’s Just Fall in Love Again
5) Hallelujah
Here are the pictures from the set:
I couldn’t get a picture of the pantz (sorry Winnie) because he was sitting down, but I did get a picture of the BOOTS!
and some pictures of Stephen:

So time for the OMG story! So after he sang “Love Uncompromised” he was talking to the audience about his new CD Jason Castro which we all know about, have and LOVE! Well, being right up front I said “This Heart of Mine!” and Jason stopped talking, looked around and goes “I thought I heard…” and then he started talking again. So again, I said “This Heart of Mine!!” and he looked down at me, and I smiled and he did too! And he goes “Ah! We have a request right here. This Heart of Mine?” and I looked at him, and said “Yes!”. He looked at Stephen and asked “Should we play that one? We haven’t done it.” and Stephen goes “Is it too high for you?” and Jason goes “No, it should be fine”. And so he looks out into the audience and says “Well, we have a request. This song is off my CD and, we haven’t done it acoustically much, but here it goes. It’s called This Heart of Mine.” And then he looked directly at me, and said “This one is for YOU”. I nearly fainted. I leaned back against my friend and luckily she caught me! So here is the video of it. It’s dark but there are flashes of light and he can hear him GREAT! It’s a few sounds into the song before I started recording. As you can imagine, I was a little dazed and shocked and couldn’t function for a few seconds. LOL! THUD!!! !
It was a wonderful, perfect night!! I’m still on a high and cannot stop watching my “This Heart of Mine” video!! I wish I can make it to L.A. tonight, but last night was perfect! Next time, I will be wherever he is in CA! Enjoy guys!!
