That's too funny! Whatever made him decide to sing Tambourine man? Did he do that at any of the previous places? I actually always LOVED his version, and I always hoped he would sing it again! Yes, I hope someone caught it on tape!

I was just headed to bed and thought I would stop by and see if you girls had posted yet.
Yeah! Gramma and Griz. Lucky Gals! Susie is next right?
Gramma your pictures are great. The last one looks like some spiritual capture on film. Wow....your excitement is so catching. I've got to see him.
Serene...I heard that someone in the audience called out for Jason to play Mr. Tambourine Man.

I am such a terrible story teller. But, here goes. I was supposed to meet Gramma and her friend Linda at the venue at 5:30. I left home at 4:00, thinking I would be there by 5:15. But, alas it was not to be. At 6:45 I pulled into the Lincoln Park neighborhood. After calling Gramma a dozen or so times. After I found parking, I was walking to the venue, when I looked accross the street and I saw Jason and Michael and his band unloading the trailer and moving everything into the venue. I ask him where his roadies were and he said "that's me". Well, I ate some of the dinner that Gramma had ordered for me and then we heard Michael singing. He has really gotten very good. And very good with the crowd. Listened to his set and then went in search of Sunshine. Because, well I did win a backstage pass to see Jason by doing street teaming for the show. It turned out that the meet and great would be after the show since they were so late getting there and were trying to get everything in on time. Because, they had to be done before 10PM. It was an all ages show, and there were some young ones there. They could not be in the venue after 10PM without a violation of some sort. Anyway. Camera can't lie was good. Not much my cup of tea, but good for what they do. And Jason. Well, he just grabs me every time. Mister Tambourine Man Thing was cute. He did it just like on idol. How could he do that? He did sing Happy Birthday to some in the crowd. But, did not remind us that last night/today was Michael's Birthday so we did not wish Michael Happy Birthday. I feel bad about that. After the show was the meet and greet. There was a line to see him, and I felt stupid. I looked at his bracelets, they are really pretty close up. I commented on how good he was on Ellen. I told him that his music just gets me every time I hear it. I told him I had brought some card paper so we could write a greeting for the dreadheads, he said "sure" in that happy voice of his. We worked up the wording and took the picture. And then someone else came by. Talked to Stephen a minute, very nice guy. Also, gramma you did not mention our Bendaras encounter in the bar. Can't wait to see him again.

Gramma and Becky and Linda (Grammas friend) were sitting in the bar having a drink and who should come strolling through, but Bendaras, looking for the band. We called him and he stopped and chatted for a minute. He thanked us for coming to the show. Such sweet people Jason has with him on the road.

Then when we were about to leave we decided to hit the potty and who do we see but Stephan. I got a picture with him and he told some cute quips about him and Jason playing Strategio (a game like Risk) and how he was kickin Jason's butt. He also said Jason has never beat him at tennis and other games... haha is was so cute like sibling rivalry.

Ben, the guitar player is a cutie and a super nice guy as are the others...we got to chat a bit with the band while waiting on the sidewalk in KS...all nice and grateful for the support they get! They didn't look or act as tired as they had to be that night after the 30 hrs of driving to get there!!

Wow, great pictures! So happy for y'all! And....no time for shavin' eh, Jason?? Reminds me of the idol tour....same shirt, lots of scruff, and his dreads are out of control....but nothing detracts from his looks and his demeanor!elebenty-one

Loved to hear all the recaps! It's really special to be able to hear and see Jason in person. No matter if you have aleady, each time just makes you have to catch your breath over it all. Of course, one of the best parts is meeting up with each other! I want to know when I can do it again, too! Some of the best times ever!

Loved hearing about your Adventures in Jasonland! Those were very nice pictures you took of Jason, Marcie. You take better pictures than you realize, but then you had a great subject to photograph!

I'm thinking that maybe the MRS must have skipped this tour...has anyone seen her? Might explain Jason's scruffiness since he's hanging with the guys... Though none of them look quite as scruffy! HaHa! The back to back tours and then whatever he's trying to set up during the summer months has got to be exhausting and also a bit stressful for newlyweds...maybe a little too much together time that starts making each other grumpy, if ya know what I mean! Especially for Mandy a week or so out of the month when you're just not feeling quite yourself. I think they could use some breaks inbetween...makes their reunion just that much more rewarding and would give her the chance to set up their new home...just not too long a part! And since Michael and Jackie seem to be going with Jason on the tour...and I suppose Betsy, if not Rene, it might be good for Mandy to spend a few weeks with her family and then rejoin Jason. Of course, this is all just my mothering speculation, mind you!
