Ladies we had a blast wish you all were with us last night! Maybe some day at Woodstock! Wishful thinking from Just1 and I. I taped everything except the Tom Petty (ran out of battery) will let you know when posted on youtube. Hope quality will be good cause it's HD camera. Mike is so funny and intelligent.I only bought his t-shirt and ep, they only took cash and after a long night eating and drinking ran out.I had Jason sign Mike's ep, ha ha. They were so sweet and patient, felt bad for Camera.. band, everybody was around Jason, but I liked them, they sound good and are very sweet.Jordan Critz is also very friendly and nice, what an amazing night we had.Linda will post pictures, tahnk you Linda, Ian, and THANK YOU GLORIA for everything, you are an amazing lady. It was a pleasure to hang out with Gloria,LindaRas,LAkendra,Cathyanne,Peggy,Just1,MarleysMom,Rereader,Cookie,and other ladies I cannot remember names/handle right now; Still recovering. Thank you all for a great/memorable night

Hi everyone! I'm still flying high after last night's show! Didn't sleep much last night even though we got back so late - I was too excited! Now that my brain is awake again, I'll post about the show. (Warning: I tend to get long-winded, so this might be long!!) Nancy (just1), my boyfriend Ian & I took the train down to the city, & hung out in Washington Square before the show. It was cool & rainy so we didn't do too much except walk around. It was great to be back in the area of NYU, where I had gone to school. Gloria (glotrovato) had organized a Dreadhead happy hour at Josie Wood's Pub - a casual place for drinks & dinner - so we met up with everyone there. Fragileheart, Cathyanne, Lakendra - & Peggy joined us later. I'm glad we all had a chance to hang out & talk before the show - it was nice to see everyone in person & get to know them better. The show was at 9:30, & Gloria had reserved a big table for us, very close to the stage. Marley'smom & Carly (not sure of her fan name) also joined us at Joe's Pub. Thanks to Cathyanne for her ustream vid; & Nancy (with Gloria's help) for the live cell feed. And a huge thanks to Ian, who took 300+ pics - we are going through them & will post a lot of the best ones! I thought Michael was a great opener - I think it's awesome that Jason has brought him on tour, & he seemed very comfortable on stage. He was personable, cute & funny - it must be a Castro thing! He sang "Home" & "Free" - in the middle of "Free" he did a little folk-rap - "Free to be me, free to eat ice cream, free to drink iced tea, free to climb a tree... free to sing off key..." He said he doesn't like song bridges too much, so he just fills in with random words that rhyme with free. Clever & funny! His style is different from Jason's - he reminds me a bit of Ray Lamontagne or Gavin DeGraw - but he fits in so well with Jason's sound & style. The middle band, Camera Can't Lie, was good, but I have to admit I was so psyched about seeing Michael & I couldn't wait to see Jason, that I couldn't focus much on them. I liked their sound - a kind of light emo rock. I think their music would fit in well on soundtracks for teen type shows on CW or FOX, like One Tree Hill or 90210, underscoring emotional boyfriend-girlfriend scenes. Don't know much about the band, maybe their music has already been featured on TV. I liked them, & I'd like to hear more of their stuff sometime. (I'm gonna post this, so I don't run out of space, or for some reason lose it all - since I'm so computer illiterate, I worry about hitting the wrong key & making stuff disappear, haha!) So... to be continued...

LindaRas's review - part 2 OK, now on to the most important part of last night - Jason!! First of all, I just want to say that every time I've seen him - from the Albany AI concert, to his Albany pub performance last Oct., to his mall show in White Plains last Oct., to his last show at Joe's Pub in January, and up to now - that he keeps getting better & better musically & growing more & more as a performer. He seemed completely in his element on stage last night, & interacted so well with his band, & with the audience. I feel like it's a priviledge to be able to see how he's grown as an artist, & can only imagine how much more awesome he'll be in the future. We are all so lucky to be able to be along for the ride on Jason's journey on what I'm sure will be a long & successful music career! He started off with "Heart of Stone" - a great, upbeat kickoff - I knew it was going to be a special show. When I could tear my eyes off Jason, I glanced around & could see that the sold-out crowd was caught up in the music right away. He thanked the people from Atlantic who were there, & said "I know you're working but at least maybe you can have a drink, and maybe you can like your job as much as I do." Cool. Next was "All Wrapped Up" - this was when I noticed just how tight he & his band are musically. I think it's clear that they've spent much time playing together, & that they all are enjoying it a lot. "Let's Just Fall in Love Again" was next - Jason began with some crazy all-over-the-place whistling, just having fun with it. And it was cool to hear many of us whistling along. I liked the band arrangement, with Steve (guitar) & Ben (bass) singing backing vocals. He introduced "It Matters To Me" as "the last song I wrote for the album - I wrote it here in NY... a special song... about missing home." He sang it with so much heart & emotion - you could tell how much the song means to him & how much he feels the lyrics, about reuniting with Mandy (& his other loved ones, I'm sure) after long periods of being away. It was mostly him, & his acoustic guitar, until the band joined in, to give a full sound to the last chorus. Beautiful... Then he brought out the uke, for "If I Were You" - fun song - the band gave it a light, easy feeling. A lot of us were clapping along with the beat toward the end. (OK, I can't help but mention here that I was a bit distracted at this point by his PANTZ - they were well-worn, with the knees completely ripped out, & when he swapped his guitar for the ukelele, there was this view of a big rip on his right thigh - a wide stripe of skin, & his inner pocket. Uh, yeah, I felt my inner "Goth Girl" coming out, lol! Forgive me if this is a bit inappropriate. OK, back to our regularly scheduled programming...) Jason then said he'd like to strip it down for the next song - "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" - just him & the uke. Again, this is where I noticed just how much he's grown as a performer - he's really made this song his own, the vocals were beautiful, his playing so natural - just amazing. (Haha, this is getting so long - I'm going to post this & continue in another post - hope you all don't mind my wordiness!)
