How hot is it in your neck of the woods? It's so hot here that the squirrels are icing their nuts. ;D How about a winter/fall bonfire? Let's remember all we love about the cooler weather. Summer is great but, when the temps go over 95, I'm nostalgic for the cooler weather. One of my winter memories is my father and I building a bonfire in the woods next door to the home we lived in. We'd throw potatoes on the fire and, they would come out all black on the outside and delicious on the inside.

:)Wish I could bring over photos. Ice skating on the lake..We had a big lake in town and we could ice skate from one end of town to the other. One year in 1967 we had 24 inches of snow and people were riding horses around town to get places..outside of the bakery there was a horse tied to the parking meter.

It's actually been cooler than usual for summer here in Texas, so I guess I can't relate Now, last summer... that's a different story altogether... we had something like 90 straight days with temps over 100 degreesIt was excruciating... but we're having temps this week in the 80s... in JULY... unheard of...

We're going up to 32 today and 33 celcius tomorrow. This is not cool! That's 91.4 F and I know this is nothing compared to what the rest of you have. I don't have air conditioning and so that means for sleepless nights...

Becky!!! Where have you been? Well, mostly working like a dog and then spending weekends chasing Jason if he's nearby. Going to his CD release party on Sep 4 ... cannot wait Last weekend I had a CEU course in Arlington, TX and spent Sat night and Sunday with Winnie in her new house. It's a castle really... FOUR bathrooms and five or six bedrooms... Gonna bunk there for the CD gig... gonna be a blast... Who else is coming??

Ooooooh, I want to come too!elebenty-one Yikes...that is a long drive! Come on Sher.... oh and we could pick up others along the way... The heat calmed down here a bit and we had lots of rain, first a storm and then rain all day long yesterday coming and going. The clouds just kept opening up like water buckets.

I'm just a hot woman! LOL Beckyvee - don't speak for all of Texans - the Gulf Coast is still hot and humid (granted not as hot as last year, but definately more humid). Just going to the car I get all sweaty. Uh, sorry, we Southern Bells don't sweat, we glisten. how about some ice to cool things off?
