Wow, Sherry - good job! Artistic, yet moving.
I have the email address to a couple of the people in the handicapped picture - may I send it to them?

Darlin I saw the one you got of Paris at the Fair with his Batman face, too bad he didn't smile, You got a really nice closeup of his Dreads and his Face paint, We found out the reason he was not happy was because the airplane had plugged his ears and he was getting a ear infection, he has had tubes in his ears and has issues with pressure and stuff. Going on the rides was probally making him feel worse.

Please do not read this if you are offended by overtly Christian discussion.
I got this email from the guy who was with the handicapped couple that Jason stopped the meet -n- greet for so he could have his picture taken with them. The allowed me to take a picture. It is so sweet (my comentary)Darlene, Thank you very much for sending me the link and information. Our group that evening consisted of Brian and Shelley Olsen, myself, Michelle Wallace (my girlfriend), Chris Wallace (her brother), and Sarah Tompkins. We were so excited to see Jason, that we planned our visit to the State Fair of Texas around the Castro concert. You have no idea what a special memory your pictures have captured! Brian and Shelley Olsen with Jason Castro - 9/25/09 - Photographed by millie4Him Brian and I have known each other preschool. Our families went to Bethel Bible Church in Tyler , TX where we were in Sunday school classes together. We both attended Grace Community School in Tyler for middle school, then we became cross town rivals in high school. He went to Robert E. Lee and I attended John Tyler. I had the pleasure of meeting his wife Shelley at their wedding reception a few years ago. It was immediately apparent that they were indeed a match made in Heaven. Although college and careers have led us to different geographic locations, God has graciously kept Brian and Shelley in my life. The year before last, we were able to see Third Day in concert at the very same venue in Dallas . Most of our group had followed Jason’s performance on American Idol. Naturally, when the three ladies heard that Jason was going to be at the State Fair….Shelly, Michelle, and Sarah made their three fellas promise that this opportunity would not be missed. ;D When the big day came, I drove from Waco to pick up Brian and Shelley in Arlington . We crowded into my pickup truck “like sardines” (as Shelley said). We met the remainder of the group as they made their way from Tyler . Excitement continued to build as we feasted on funnel cake, fried butter, fried cheesecake, and every other unhealthy Texas treat. At the concert, security was courteous enough to allow our group to remain together within the stage-side wheelchair accessible section. Just a few songs into his performance, Jason had every member of our group head-bobbing and singing along. To our delight, Jason took the time to sign autographs and take pictures with us after the show. Brian and Shelley were amazed and grateful for the V.I.P. treatment that they received from Jason and staff. Weeks later, we have still not stopped talking about this magical experience. Please thank you and yours for capturing (on film) a moment that will remain a surreal part of our friendship and our lives. It is very encouraging to see a talented artist surround himself with such a God fearing team of individuals. There are so many secular artists today that promote negative and perverse messages in their music. Please encourage Jason to remain caring, positive, and courageous. I ultimately must thank our Lord and Savior…. Jesus Christ….for the work you do and the lives you change. Joel Lightfoot

Darlene...thank you for sharing Joel Lightfoot's messaage. It is very touching that Jason spent time with them and they appreciated it. What you did for Brian and Shelly is wonderful and it really shows the goodness of your heart. I agree with everyone that you should forward this to Betsi and she will share it with Jason.

Such a beautiful letter, my nose is prickling.
I'm guessing they think that the Jason fans with T shirts with Jason Castro are the staff. That's you guys. Whoop! Does Jason have staff?
